Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul SG Custom 60th Anniversary 3 Pickup 61 Sideways Viola
BRAND NEW UNPLAYED Gibson Custom Shop 60th Anniversary '61 Les Paul SG Custom in Polaris White VOS finish is a striking tribute to one of the most pivotal designs in Gibson’s history, capturing the exact moment when the Les Paul evolved into the sleek, aggressive SG silhouette that would define a generation. Looks killer with gold sideways Vibrola!
Crafted from a single piece of solid mahogany, the body is light, resonant, and remarkably alive in the hands, weighing in at an ideal 7 lbs 10 oz.
This guitar features a single piece solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. The Polaris White VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish lends a gently aged, broken-in look and feel, allowing the wood to breathe and resonate while evoking the subtle patina of a well-preserved vintage original
The slim, fast-playing authentic ’61 thin profile mahogany neck is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, bound in cream and adorned with aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. With its 24.75" scale, 12" radius, and medium-jumbo frets, the playing experience is effortlessly fluid, while the long tenon, hide glue neck joint ensures exceptional sustain and vintage-correct tonal transfer.
Equipped with three Gibson Custombuckers in the neck, middle, and bridge positions, it is meticulously engineered to recreate the airy top end, woody midrange, and articulate bite of early PAF humbuckers. Hand-wired with 500K CTS potentiometers, Black Beauty capacitors, and a 3-way selector, the electronics deliver a dynamic, touch-sensitive response that moves seamlessly from warm, singing leads to snarling, open-chord authority. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots, a 3-way toggle switch consisting of CTS Vintage Taper pots and Black Beauty capacitors. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with an Authentic '61 Thin profile. The hardware is comprised of aged gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with kidney heads, a nylon nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic Bridge with Sideways Vibrola and top hat reflector knobs with a 3 ply White on black pickguard.
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case all Case Candy including COA.
